Fred:
Important information, still under investigation.
It came to my attention yesterday that it is almost certain that the Topmodel Credit Card database has been hacked!

So far, there are for a few thousand of euros that has been debited from custmer's cc, so if you have bought stuff on the Topmodel website, and paid by cc, please check that no weird transactions are being made on your cc.
If so, cancel your CC and talk to the bank / Guards to have your money refunded etc etc.

Amounts so far, goes from 10 to 4000 euros, and can be for any sort of paiements! (Ryanair, mobile phones, supermarkets etc etc)

Please forward this to clubs, forums etc.

So far, Topmodel are not aware of any hacking, but the "source" seems to be them. Investigations continue, and I will let you know if there is any developpements.

Hi Fred.
Thanks for the warning. I think I may have been caught out by this. I bought a Graupner windsock from Topmodel about a month ago. I checked my credit card statement on Monday and found a weird transaction to some company that supplies diving equipment. Luckily it wasn't for much. The card is now cancelled, waiting for my new one.

Happy Days:
Thanks for the warning Fred. I’ve just checked my cc account and it also has had an illegal transaction of 451 euro make to a company in Paris.

They’re buggers these people aren’t they

Fred:
Not too sure how it works here, but you should be able to have the money refunded to your account (in France it's automatic and only take a day or two for a full refund).
European law I believe.

I let you know as soon as I have more informations, but in the mean time, send that to as many people as you can!

IceWind:
Thanks for que warning Fred.
I'm not a custommer from TopModel (at least recently, last time was years ago) but I've spread the word to Portugal.

As for CC refunds, and unfortunatly I know this, with banks in Portugal they ask to fill a claim form for every transation made and after they'll refund you but takes some time.
