Last nite on Slieve Gallion

John and myself needed a fix after our fab weekend trip to  the Big L.
We headed up to Gallion for an hour of relaxation.
I took some video footage of the Le Fish using a head cam, this was my first attempt.
As you can see the slope was south facing and it is a bowl type slope so the light was poor, still I was pretty happy that at least the Fish was well centred in the shots most of the time.

Optically & audibly, the use of a silhouetted aerobatic model flying against a low evening sun, with the melody of ‘Clair de Lune’ has, in my opinion, the makings of an excellent video! Good Call! :)

So why aren’t I applauding you Richard? :?:
Well, the reason is that I found myself falling asleep as I watched it.

Why?....... It was a single, 4minute shot :!: . Pity, coz I think that would have made a beautiful 2 -3 minute vid.

Please go back, cut it, and show it again. :D

Thank You

Keith

Hi Keith, I am unable to get good video footage due to the fact my PC does not cope with HD videos, it just plays them frame skip 20 frames then play a frame.
I have a new PC order and have waited 16 days for it to be delivered.
I bought a quad core gaming PC to see if it help me improve on the editing.
One is learning as he goes  :!:   , thanks for the cruel comment, and I hope you enjoyed the sleep lol

A-hu. Now I understand!

I couldn’t figure out why you’d posted it all as a single shot. :?:

Yes, I did enjoy my little ‘doze.’ I seem to be taking more and more of them lately!

The disc is there somewhere, just keep looking!!!

When you've found it, take your time and Re-produce the film. When you’ve finished, leave it for a couple of days. Then view it again and see if anything can be improved. Be hard on yourself, if anything isn’t quite right, change it to the best that can be done with what footage you’ve got.
Leave it for another couple of days and view it again. If you then believe that the film can not be bettered, by definition, that’ll be the best you can produce. So put it up on the forum.

Someone on this forum is running a video contest for model gliders films. (Cant remember who it is.) I recon, with a bit of imagination, you’ve got all the ingredients for a possible winner there!

(I wish I’d shot that footage.)

K.
ps. I  must get me another pc one day. I get fed up with having to stoke the boiler of this one!
