Quark 1.2m

(1/10) > >>

andrew wallace:

this is the fuselage parts for one of Fred's Quarks  :D
this is a smaller version at 1.2 metre's and the parts are beautifully cut from a range of balsa and ply wood

hoping to start on the fuselage soon and will take photo's as i go along

andrew wallace:
this is my work so far

went round the outside of fuselage with 4mm balsa

added forms 1,2,3 & 4

all 6 formers now glued, i'm usually a white glue man but i've used thin cyano for this

andrew wallace:

other fuselage side added and all squared up

this is the servo trays and are  beautifully cut to suit two mirco servos and the bellcrank for the elevator

erwan:
Great :D

I don't know which version i would order :D

Fred:
Slow Down!!  :D  :D

Very good start Andrew!
And I must add, without plan!

For the bellcrank, you should have 2 or 4 rounds in wood, to re-inforce where the rods are going(if you see what I mean!)
If not, glue some metal ones (the one for small screws), that will do the job.

Also, but you certainly already know that, install the elevator servo and bellcrank before doing the bottom sheeting!

Oh and the piece T1 (where the rudder is glued to if I remember) might be not wide enough!
Doesn't matter, as all that will be sanded round! (That's because I changed my mind about the way to cut the balsa strips at the end of the fuselage half way through!  #-o

Anyway, good stuff, looking good!
