New Project - Contra rotating Propeller Drive

<< < (2/3) > >>

Happy Days:
Well the model looks very attractive Brian.  I know you Old Boys have to fly the slower Biplanes as your reaction times slow!

But I do hate it when people use jargon, don’t you?

So what is a CTU????? :!:

And……
How is the contra rotating made to happen? It’s all very well saying it happens, but HOW. :?:
Let’s see some pictures of the contra prop workings please. :D

(I hate it when people only tell you half the story  ).

Guess I’m just a grumpy old man,….Well no, just a grumpy man actually, you can forget the ’old.’

Keith

Brian:
Hi Keith,
There I was thinking I was dealing with some 'tech heads' , ah well.
CTU ;customer test unit !.
As for the other more substantial question, you are correct you are a grumpy old ???? and hasty too.
This is very complex to explain so I put in a link to Brenner's RCU thread where it is all laid out so even you can understand it.

Thanks for all the help with the photos.

Brian

Happy Days:
Jeezzzzz Brian! it takes forever to wade through all those other postings.
So to save anyone else from having to read all the irrelevant ramblings from that forum, here are the salient features of the contra rotating props system that is powering your model.

A single inrunner motor

A "SEE THROUGH" diagram

And one more image

There, aren't I good to you!
(At this point you're supposed to say "Yes Keith." )

K.

Brian:
''Yes Keith'',
Thank you.
I must find how to do that.

Brian

erwan:
