Happy Days:
Well, no videos I’m afraid Bill, and only a couple of snaps.
Only three of us turned up and it rained quite a lot, although we did manage to  get some flying in off the south slope with a tangential breeze. Lift was not good as poor JP found out having to take a long walk to retrieve his model. :(  (Can’t remember it’s name, twas a 2mtr mouldy.) Must be said he did manage to fly a little PSS model as well.

Fred, of course, managed to fly his little ‘wing’ in the light conditions for quite a while   and I chickened out of trying to fly on that part of the ridge and took a longer walk to a more windward facing part of the slope, managing a respectfull flight time, (for me!)

Perhaps the not most successful days flying, but to put a positive spin on it we, (the three of us that is) did manage to solve all the world problems and figure out a way to establish world peace and feed the starving millions.

Tomorrow looks to be a better day on the north slope with stronger winds and seemingly loads of blue sky. :D

No pictures of flying models I’m afraid. Against a back lit sky, flying models would have only appeared as silhouettes. The sun will be behind us tomorrow, so more pictures,…I promise!

Richard,...were your ears burning today???...They should have been!

K.

billscottni:
Thanks for that Keith, with not being able to be there, Scotland losing to Italy & the English beating Ireland I was feeling pretty down.    :(

Glad you got some flying in and hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow.  :D

Johns' 2m is an RCM Pelikan Extreme from Puffin Models. I think it's actualy 2.5m and it's a foam veneer wing. To my mind far more practical for the sports flyer than a moldie. Very little weight difference and far easier to repair if needed.  :?:   :?:

Have a good day tomorrow
