Roll up! Roll up! for a Great Weekend (29 -30th Sep.)
stephen.shannon:
Hi All,
A massive thanks to you all for the crack on Saturday. Myself and my young lad, Tom, went up to "have a looK" and to have been made feel more welcome we couldn't have been, what a genuinely great day.
To have had the pleasure and shared in the fun of the day was one thing but to have had the oppotunity to acutally fly a glider for the first time was a true privilege,
Andrew / Fred many many thanks, I'm truly hooked and now looking for an easy glider ;-) if anyone knows of one going? PS they are indestructable as we proved when Fred just fired the easy glider off the slope and watched it smash into the deck while Andrew was looking on wondering what part of "hold on" could have been interpruted as "GO".
To big Keith thanks Mate you've found a genuienly good bunch of heads there bro and to Little Keith thanks for the education and the fun on the day,
Having looked at the photo's I think the B&B was the crack that night. Thanks lads from Stephen and "Young Tom (9)"
Keith:
Hi Stephen
Glad you and Tom enjoyed it .:-) yeah they were a very friendly and very very helpful bunch of lads .. Maybe next time your down you will get the two days in .. Little Keith was saying the next "official" meet is may so you have loads of time to get a glider sorted :-) .(loads of time to work on brownies points)
DaveMc:
Looks like another epic weekend on Mt L.
I get the distinct impression that these glide in weekends on Mt L are getting a little raunchier.

What a great selection of models being flown the weekend.
I had batteries charged and planes ready to go on sunday but after checking Keith's updates on the weather I decided to stay put.
Stephen, I am sure I have an Easy Glider unbuilt at home, I 'll check later and let you know! My old one is still going strong.
gerryb:
looks like ye had a right good time of it all right and a bit of flying thrown in as well!!!!!!!
thanks for photos, really gave a good impression of what glider flying is all about.
that bit about the ex planet pluto must have been a 'location, location' story. i always thought pluto was one of mickey mouse's buddies. anyway, you live and learn.
