Ziroli 92" P-47
selleri:
Today(26.July) was the big day, after priming the Zenoah 62 and few flips with the spring start it jumped to life, purring like a kitten at idle and growling like a cougar at full bore.
Later aftur confirming the control throws and movements plus the mandatory range check there was nothing left but to taxi to take off posistion.
While taxing out there was time to contemplate on this almost eight years of history that me and the Jug have together.
Slowly the throttle was opened up and away we went. The runway was a bit heavy with thick grass and after constant wetness over the last weeks but
despite that the Jug lifted off and headed for the skies and some strange blueness that was present between them.
Shortly after take off the left main gear leg decided it had had enough and left the party heading west.
Now there was not much to do but enjoy the flight and boy, oh boy, did the Jug performe!
Responsive, tracks well and generally does what is asked off it.
After about 7 minuts of airtime it was time to start planing the landing.
The Jug was put on a runway heading and a steady decent set up and just before touch down the engine was killed to save the prop.
After that a group of modellers headed out west for about 250 meters to recover the gear leg and door.
I'd like to thank everyone that assisted me in some way over the years
I still haven't perfected the technique of flying and taking photograps so here are few pictures from other people who were there today.
Putting the final touches on the Jug.

Happy Days:
Well, what a marvellous project from conception to completion. Pity about the undercarriage, but no doubt you’ll soon have that fixed Selleri. The model really did look like the real thing in the air didn’t it! 8)
So well done young man.  I hope you have many enjoyable hours flying her.
Actually you could write a book about the project…..
“The Man Who Gave Birth,........to an Aeroplane.”
