Solange...it's new to me!

Oh, so you knew a “Solange” too,………..don’t tell me,…..she tried to throw You off a hill!!!
I’ve been looking for something to play with in the workshop during the forthcoming ‘ inclement months.’ :!: I happened to come across "CloudModels” and from there I found the Solange. :?:
It looks very much like Phase 6 with a V tail. The wing span is almost exactly the same, it’s also a single piece wing made of foam covered with obechie, just as the P6 is. the Manual doesn’t say what the airfoil is.
My main concern is the sub fin that sticks out of the bottom of the tail. I can see that getting ripped off. :(
Might get myself one just for the hell of it. :D
I tried looking through RCG, didn’t see anything. I couldn’t be bothered to scroll through all the topics and I couldn’t find a “search” facility. Never mind.
Don’t know whether to leave the full length ailerons, or split them to make a full house wing. Hmmmmm……
Yes Fred, I know AIRBRAKES! AIRBRAKES!!

Thanks Bill.
Unfortunately there’s nothing that looks even like an objective report of the models’ flying abilities. (The first link looks like it was written by the guy who designed it.)
I have found about a minute and a half of video footage of one flying, but it’s not very informative. A lot of the time the plane is out of shot and even when you can see it flying it’s simply going to and fro along the slope. It performs one 360 roll, but looses a lot of height in the process, could be due to conditions, the pilot, or the model itself of course.
Actually, this lack of definitive evidence of the models’ abilities actually makes it slightly more appealing to me, I like things that are slightly unusual.
Thanks again for the produce of your searches.

I’ve just received this reply from Cloud Models regarding shipping costs.
“Thank you for your enquiry. Shipping for a Solange kit Is £18.00 to the Republic of Ireland. If it is off any interest it costs the same to ship 2 so if you know anyone else that might want one it would work out cheaper.
Kind regards Phillip”
Pretty self-explanatory; does anyone else fancy a Solange? (Model plane I’m talking about! ) Go on!,......you know you want to
