New slope site 1 hour north of dublin

<< < (4/7) > >>

Fred:
Hi all,

Looks like I might be free on Sunday  :?:

Now, for the slope, Richard, what is your view on the top for landing?
If I bring a 5m glider, is there space to land? (flat enough)
I had a quick look on the interweb, and hillwalking sites. Top, if I am looking at the same slope, seems rocky  :?:
Plan is to fly a bigish glider, then, we'll know everything else will fly there! :D

Anyway, if we can fly 360 degrees, that looks like a possible very nice site for cross borders meetings  :D

Richard Boyd:
Hi Fred I'm unsure about this Sunday as the kids could be coming. I will let u know tomorrow.
Winds are looking good and from the north west !!
The top of the mountain is mainly heather !!! Landings should not be a bother to a man of you skills and talent lol
If you do need help I'm sure Andrew will land your big bird for you lol

Fred:
 Best way to see something that crash and burn!
Or land in a tree

Yeah, let me know. We can plan something for the week end after anyway. Only Sunday free for me for a few hours.

Richard Boyd:
