How wide is a wheel?

If my wheel box is 30mm wide that makes a piece of string about 55.5 cms.
I've often wondered how long a piece of string is. :lol:

Wonder if that applies to baler twine too.

This wheel has to be 3" dia, preferably with a Michelin tyre and air-cooled disc brake.

Well, now that we've sorted out how long a piece of string is, can we move on to determining how low "low" is (as in: "how low can you go?"):D ?

To find out how low you can go you need some negative lift.
