Micro Lunak - With Plan!

(1/3) > >>

Fred:
Or the twin brother of the Micro Quark, but with a scale fuselage, both are sharing the same set of wings. If you have build the Micro Quark, just build the fuselage, and "2" models in one :)

Specs:
Wingspan: 1236mm
Lenght: 813mm
Profiles: SB96V - VS
All wood construction.

Nothing difficult in the build, just the wings!
Those ribs are tiny, but if you take your time, nothing too much difficult.
After that, the fuselage is a basic rectangular box in the shape of a Lunak...

A few photos of the build:

And the 99% finished product (would like to add more stickers :) ) ready for the first flight:

The full step by step build log, plan in A4 pages to download are all on the dedicated page:

Happy Days:
So the wife is letting you build models in the house now?

What have you been promising her in return???   (You little rascal you.)

Nice build Fred, soon you’ll be building them as well as the professionals.

Having said that,.... the wing LE looks like it has been made up of lots of smaller lengths of carbon dowel? May be the photo has pixelated a little.

Little Keith

Fred:
Thanks Keith :)
Yep, entirely built on the dining room table :) So I could build and keep an eye on the girls playing in the garden.. This is my excuse :)

Well, it does look better in photos than in real life I have to admit. The LE is a full lenght piece of carbone tube. Must be the photo I think  :?:

Fred:
Just made the final touches on the 2 metres version of the Lunak.
Using the same wing platform as the Quark 2M, if it can fly half as good, I will be an happy man! :)

More to come as the first one is being built  :D

rogallo:
Nice kits
