Transmitter muffs are wonderful invention Mick. I wouldn't fly in the winter without one.

They do take a little getting used to. Don't fly your favourite model until you've got used to the muff while flying a foamy,................just in case.

In very cold weather I've found that the viewing panel can mist up with condensation. I either ignore it or wipe it clear with my thumb.

I still wear a thin fleece type glove inside the muff in sub zero temps. The muff won't make your hands warm, it just stops the wind chill effect................ They're well worth the money. ( In my opinion.)

I bought a turnigy one from Hobbyking. My 3030 fits inside on its tray comfortably.

Will post a pic of mine tomorrow as just looked on Hobbyking and can't see it

Alternative would be a pair of neoprene fishing gloves, the type where you can fold back the tip of the thumb and forefinger is best. I got mine off ebay

I haven't used my "muff" just yet but have been using work gloves they are supplied by Wurth, the next level up from rubber gloves used in the motor trade, I have seen them in some motor factors under another brand. I find them good as there not too thick and allow the "feel" factor. But I will still be using my muff when I get out as well in the cold!!!
