I'm afraid I didn't get much done over the summer, but as yesterday was miserable, what better that to try and get a bit more done?

I didn't have any balsa block to form the leading edge,  so I had to glue some together. Most of the support has been done for the port wing for the slanted tip. Takes a bit of time...  ;)

The wing ribs are balsa, so when removing the covering, the surface got rough.  They've all been topped with a thin veneer of strip balsa to smooth the surface.

Little Keith kindly took her up for a test flight a few weeks ago and gave advice on the niggles that needed sorting.

That done, I took my first solo with it...  I have to say, it's a lot more hands off that the MCAC club trainer!  I'm already looking for a progression plane...
