JR X2610
haydenc:
Hi Fred
Thanks for the info. Had a look at the manual for the MX12 and despite the text being in German (I think) the picture certainly looks like the JR2720.
I have had the JR Apex 5 for 17 years. It has, however, spent most of its life hiding in the attic.
I will start reading about 2720s. I think the funds can stretch that far.
This board is certainly a great facility.
Thanks again for all the help.

Fred:
Yeah, notice aswell the link in German !
Weird, as if you copy the link, it's in English !
Try this link : http://www.instructionsmanuals.com/modelo-3841-en-Radio+control.htm
Should work... And much better in English, even if sometimes some manuals sound more like Japanese to me !
Anyway, MX12 or whatever they call this radio, and up, it's a good choice !
Don't hesitate if you have any questions before the final choice ! :D

JR2720 arrived on Monday.
Its a lot more complicated than I was used to.
But I am getting there :?:
Slowly :?:
I have only just manager to get it to talk to the RX in my Fling.
It will be worth it though.
And Santy is bringing me a CM Pro Discus 2.65M.
Is'nt it a far cry from flying a CL Dominator in the Phoenix Park on a Saturday afternoon with the Phoenix Aeromodelling Club.
Thanks again for the help and guidance.

Happy Days:
A Pro Discus 2.65!!
Is this the same guy who, just six months ago, said his heart was in his mouth when he had a flight lasting sixty seconds? and that he would NEVER fly in wind speeds above 15mph again
Boy, you've come a long way Cha
The Discus is very sleek and I'm told, very agile. You should be able to keep it up for a lot more than 60 seconds. (Er.....no sexual pun intended  )
Throw in a JR 2720 and now you're playing in the big boy's league! :D
Well done you!
Keith
haydenc:
Thanks Keith for the compliment
I might of course be doing the wrong thing.
This has been a fairly common occurrence in my life.
At least if it all goes wrong, I will have done it in style.
