The French Invasion! - 02 April to 09 April

(1/4) > >>

Fred:
Hi all,

As you certainly know, we have French visitors coming our way for the first week of April (next week!)

There will be an AEROTOW "show and tell" on the WEDNESDAY 5th of APRIL at Model County Flying Club, near Enniscorthy (many thanks again to Brian Carolan!!).
We will be, for the rest of the week, flying at Mount Leinster, unless we are doing touristy things :)

You certainly all know all the details, but keep in touch if you need more info, or need to know where we are during the week. Of course, feel free to join us at any stage, any days, or night! Fun and giggles are the mottos for the week! :)

So, we have 9 of the best tow and glider pilots you will find on the Continent, a good occasion to see them crash and burn in Ireland  ::) ::)

We also have a French Shop coming to our shore. If you need anything, fel free to browse the pages (http://www.silencemodel.fr/) and Pascal will be more than happy to bring the stuff to you. Contact me if you need anything. Can be accessories, gliders, wood, etc etc

Also available, is a 4m ASW17 glider.
Fully molded for sale. Price is 500 euros! (photos below). Stunning model going for cheap (RRP is 800 euros I believe). If anyone interested, let me know of course :)

Fred:
ALSO!

We were talking with Keith (the gigantor one!) that it would be nice to relaunch the combat activities we used to do a few years back!
Seeing the SMFC lads having fun brought back some good memories when we were doing combat with wings and PSS!

SSSoooooo, for the next meeting, bring something crash proof! And we'll show the lads we can be as bad as them touching each others... Not sure if that came up Ok, but you know what I mean! :)

Straight to the slope, late flying and very late at the pub!

Not very easy this morning  ;)

A bit of tourism this morning, more photos later :)

PS Text or call me if you need directions !

Brian:
Hi Fred,
Further to your text ;

Go to Enniscorthy following the N11 for Wexford/Rosslare.
This will bring you to the lower part of town and across the river Slaney, going east, crossing what is known as 'The Old Bridge'.
As you get on to the old bridge stay in the left lane and set the trip metre.
Keep left as you leave the bridge.
Stay on this road for 6.4km  (Do not veer left at Mr Price or right for Blackwater later).
At 6,4 km there is a small road on the left - take this road.
Follow up and around to the left until you pass a large new two story house on the left.
Then just as you pass the next house, a bungalow, turn left into a small lane (no tarmac).
Follow this to the end  !!!!

So to recap ;
Once on the old bridge and in the left lane you drive straight for 6.4km, then turn left and then left again after approx 1.5km.

Brian
