CBM F16N PSS conversion... For now !

(1/2) > >>

Fred:
Hi,

Since last week end, I am the happy owner of a Combat Models F16N Jet !

Wing Span : 1.14m
Lenght : 1.80m
100% molded Foam

So, the original kit is for a 45 to 61 IC engine, as a pusher, with air retracts... Well, the F16 is not that small !
Really scale looking, all the details are from molding...
My plan, is to try it as a PSS first, and see how she perform... But I will keep the option for an upgrade to an electric pusher later (No EDF possible, or you need a lot of work !).

So, here are some photos !

The box (new, and unopened!) :

The kit.. All foam ! Lots of carbone fiber strips to reinforce the structure... I'll put a layer of fibreglass+resin all over it... Or another method, still thinking of it...

The fuselage :

And the same with wings and rudder....

Alright, that's it for now !
Don't know when I'll go back building it now, lots of other projects going on, but who knows !...
Anyway, really pleased with that one, and really good looking (the plane...), should be quiet impressive in the air !

Alan_Perse:
Looks really good Fred. I'd say it would need a good wind to get it flying

Fred:
Arf, should do OK. really light at this stage.. Wings are small (scale) but the fuselage generate a bit of area too...

Must try anyway !  :P  And I keep the pusher option too, just in case !

Happy Days:
Let me get this right..............you are going to use this for combat  ???

Is this becoming an , I've got a bigger one than you thing?

Fred:
Hi Keith,
God no !
Not for combat, just as a PSS (scale).

Mine is bigger than yours, we all know it !  :P  :P  Talking about planes here alright !

Well, not that big when you think of it, but jets have small wingspan, but really long fuselage !
But still going to looks good in the air ! (well, I hope !)
