Mibo Swift S1
Fred:
Thanks to Ralph (Thanks Ralph!), a new glider has joined the stable.
A good old Swift S1 from Mibo.
Just needed a bit of TLC and some new servos.
Fuselage was cleaned up, and painted with that acrylic paint from Lidl (the only paint I actually managed to get good results with!)
Wings were then stripped and covered with Vinyl, same for the tail (quick job, haven't cleaned up the wing before re-covering!)
And we are ready to rock and roll! Stay tuned for the first flight (that thing is heavy, might be interesting :)
Kevin O'Donoghue:
Fred, would you be able to e-mail me (or Ralph) the print file for the Swift logo on the rudder? I'll see if Ralph can print a pair for me. The graphics arrived. Great value and should look great on the Swift once I put it all together. Thanks. Kevin
Kevin O'Donoghue:
Fred, do you know the recommended c of g position for the Mibo Swift? Just finishing refurb of one. Thanks!
Fred:
Hey Kevin,
Hope you are keeping well!
Good question, I don't know! I may have marked the wings, I'll check. It has been a while!
Kevin O'Donoghue:
Hey Fred. I’m guessing 75-80mm from LE at the root. It would be great to have an idea before first (re)flight!
