New build - RCME Bambina
Fred:
All good, can see your photos now :-*
And you are right, this motor is tiny!! (I know nothing about electrics, so I will not comment further :-[ )
Anyway, looks like a nice and clean build!
Happy Days:
Ah, now I can see what you're talking about! :)
Much easier to work on stuff when you have an assigned room, rather than on the kitchen table isn't it. Can be a wee bit chilly in the attic though. I had an attic workshop for years and found it cold in winter and hot in summer, but beggars can't be choosers. At least you have somewhere. (I found fingerless gloves a benefit during the winter. And a woolly hat. Ha!)
Well, it all seems to be coming together quite nicely. Did the motor come with the kit or have you just purchased one that they recommended?
Looking at the wing leading edge, is that the final shape or does it need a bit more "rounding"? From the picture it looks a little 'flat fronted' David.
You're certainly getting on with it!

angry_muppet:
It is easier in an assigned area... It just needs assigned time! But, I can't complain, she did donate the heater! Unless she intends to make me move into the attic... :'(
The motor was selected based on the specs supplied on the plan. I'm going to make the cowl removable, somehow, so that I can change it out, if I need to. But I'm hoping I picked correctly! You are perfectly correct, Keith, the wing is still "in progress" for sanding.
angry_muppet:
Thank you Keith! Having checked the specs of the motor I purchased, I find it can only tolerate 7.4V, not the 11.1V I need. :-[ The appropriate motor has now been purchased.
A bit more work finishing off the bottom of the fuselage this evening and sanding the LE and wingtips to the correct shape. I think I'm mostly there.
Happy Days:
Just out of interest, what size prop will you be using David? Due you have any idea of the intended All Up Weight of the model? (including the motor and battery)
