<< < (4/7) > >>

Fred:
That was more to take out most of the day.
We usually meet between 8 and 9 am every year. Cakes and coffee/tea on the road!  :D

Who else for an early start ?

Gerry, Dave, what time are you at the slope ?

joe:
Gerry said in his txt he would be there from 9am

Fred:
Cool!

Who is going to be in the village early so ?
For people like me who can't remember how to get to the slope?!

By the way, is there a mechanic around ?
Quick question : I have a cracked manifold, so my car sound like a boy racer's car now  :D
Is that ok to drive long distances like this ?  :?:

Happy Days:
Fred,

Driving long distances with a cracked exhaust manifold can seriously damage your engine's health. It's okay to drive if you're just 'nipping to the shops,' but over long distances the crack will create a "hot spot" which, if it's near the exhaust ports, can distort the cylinder head. VERY expensive to replace.

If you have to use that car tomorrow try to keep the revs down. But if you have a second vehicle I'd use that if I were you. (I've got a bicycle you could borrow!)

Keith

Fred:
Ah feck !
Can't borrow wife's car tomorrow!  :!:  :!:

Well, I can be on mechanical forfait for tomorrow then!!  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:

Still waiting for the manifold part to arrive, and nothing showed up so far!
