So, I joined yet another club! RWMAC

(1/1)

Fred:
We’ll, when you love, you don’t count I guess

I have been invited a few times by Tony Green (thank you! ) to come and visit the club, located near Roundwood in Co. Wicklow.
I finally managed to get my arse in gear, and paid the club a visit a few months ago, and I was not disappointed!

The welcoming was just superb, and the setup is fantastic! I had the trusty Lentus with me, and was allowed to use the field as a full member for the day, and well, I joined! they know how to talk to men

More seriously, the guys are great, the ambiance is fantastic as a result, and the field is big with plenty of space for the big stuff.

Anyway, more later, but for now, enjoy a couple of photos :)

Fred:
I also wanted to fly my MaxiLift during the new year break. Could not get the engine to run properly for more than 5 minutes!
Was driving me mad, and even more after Cork as it was running great after Brendan tweaked it. Anyway, I tried and failed.
Weeks later, brought it back and Tony setup the engine in like 2 minutes from scratch and it is now purring like a kitten! No ideas how he managed that as we spent hours on the damn thing, so it is still a dark magic to me!
Thanks Tony for fixing it
Have to fly it now!…

Fred:
Another good day at the RWMAC with a bit of flying with the Tommy jr and the good old Lentus.
Plus, witnessing manual work at the club. The usual, one working, everybody else watching, commenting etc
With all the rain, today’s job was to drain the water from part of the model pit. And more rain forecast tomorrow! Will that weather give us a break at some point!

Fred:
With the rubbish weather for slope soaring in Kilakee, time to pay a visit to the field again this weekend.
The usual good banter and flying. Good old Lentus  managed to get a proper thermal and was just a small spec in the sky for a long flight. All that with 30sec motor run so happy days! Then cold came in, so the other flights were in the short spectrum

Good flying with the MPX Tommy jr. Very stable plane I have to say. Great fun.
Then Sunday was little tow plane flying with about 7 or 8 flights and that was the end of a good weekend!
