Hi Guys
Well it is now, official, the Big B52 flew today on her first maiden flight at the slope on Moneymore mountain. The first flight was a long walk down the mountain ( to nose heavy and did not fly in close to the slope), however, a quick change in the C of G and trims, and she was ready again for flight two. This time the model got away perfect, straight into the lift and gained height quickly. I kept her close to the slope, and this time she flew perfect in the strong lift for a total flight time of nearly 20mins.
Big thankyou to my trusted helpers Ian, Chris and Peter and to the media crew Ken and Richard, great job guys, could not have done it without you today. Next flight will be at Big L in March at the PSS event, let’s hope we get the weather and lift.
Here are a few pics from today, I will add more photos and video later when I get them from Peter
At the hanger waiting for the batteries to charge
Will it fit Peter ??
Getting the model ready for flight
More coming soon!!
