CMAC Indoor Flyin ****CHANGE OF DATE****
Fred:
Nice Joe !
For a power system, I'm looking at 2 or 3 possibilities (cheap..).. I'll let you know...
For mine, that will be a Biplan with a 3D fuselage... Plans are finished but I may see it a bit too big
Wingspan is 1mtrs.. Most of the biplan are 80 cms, 90cm is the maximum I've found.. But I want to use 6mm depron , so I have enlarged the wing surface to keep the wing loading low... Should not be a big issue to fly indoor... I start the building this week and I'll post some pictures.
Fred
rogallo:
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE!
joe:
Shit! Feck! Bugger!
That date isn't going to work for me I don't think.
Will finish my foamy anyway and find somewhere local to fly!
Anonymous:
Sorry Joe, had no choice, we got moved by the hall owners!
Maybe next time
Joe, Fancy organising something over Christmas that we could travel from Cork to, if we can get our passports in order?
Thanks
Ralph
joe:
Have been looking into various venues in and around Dublin in the last few days for indoor flying.Problem is they are quite expencive to hire at about €50 an hour! We would need at least ten people paying twenty quid each to get five/six hours flying.UCD gets quiet when the students leave in mid December and I think their hall is a double basketball court.Which could be good!.
Will also look around my area,Wexford.Would be cheaper I'd say,but not so many options.
If you had a rough idea of how people would be interested from Cork that would be a great help. :D :D
Is a basketball court size hall too small? Is that what you're using?
