billscottni:
bit the bullet tonight as the pound was at it's strongest against the dollar for some time!

Ordered a hobby cnc foam pro stepper control board for my cnc foamcutter! :P  :P
The fun bit will be soldering it together when it arrives, but that will have to wait until the Frogfoot is finished as I need that for the PSS fly in in March

Only the stepper motors left to buy now, but Joe and Fred put me on to a good supplier for them and then it's all go :?:  :?:

I'll be looking for advice then Joe

joe:
Good stuff Bill. Hope you have a decent soldering iron  :?
I got my motors from the company below. Decent price I think and pretty quick service. I believe Fred got motors here too. I use 4 unipolar Sanyo Denki motors (4pap_uni1a). You'll find them under CNC accessories. Check that unipolar motors will work with your board. They also have bipolar motors available if needed.

billscottni:
Thanks Joe.
Will wait until the board arrives abd then order the motors. Pretty sure I need them at a late stage of the soldering to check a few things

billscottni:
Stepper motors ordered today from Technimaniacs. That's all the hardware either here or ordered.

No excuses now :?:  :?:  :?:
