Deluxe indoor plane by Donatas

<< < (2/3) > >>

IceWind:
Hi K.

I'd think that is right in some way.
For this indoor flying the planes are usually setup to be bit tail heavy to help on the maneuvers so it kinda feels like the prop is pulling the rest of the body while the tail/body is been dragged around.
Also they're made of flat foam so no airfoil making it need always of some incidence to compensate that and generate lift, increasing the visual effect.
I guess that must be what causes that "feeling" of it reacting like a heli.

This or I've been reading too much  :?:

Richard Boyd:
LOL Donatas is definitely flying this Deluxe !
I had mail asking me had he reduced the camera speed to give the slow flight effect. The answer was no !
This is the plane I flew in January when I spend a few days in Lithuania, Donatas has it milled and extremely lightened and the result is a slow slow flying plane.
My new Deluxe is totally stock, and it will fly amazing if I can keep the build straight.
I have the servos fitted just the motor and the wiring to do and then the finishing brakes to add. I hope to have it finished tonight.
Pictures to follow.

Happy Days:
Well, bring it on Richard, let’s see some pictures of it!

But tell me,…….is Ice-Wind right, do indoor planes ‘follow the prop’ rather than actually ‘fly’?

Keith

Richard Boyd:
Hi Keith , indoor planes definitely fly, and crash in my hands !
I had visitors last night so process with the Deluxe was slow.
Donatas was flying another competitors plane during EXFC, poor man smashed his own Yak during practise before the comp.
He totally blames not wearing his Irish lucky medal for this mistake.
The Irish are everywhere lol

Richard Boyd:
This is video of Derk Van Der Vecht FLYING ! total control !
Derk (crazy Dutch man) visited Northern Ireland in 2007 and flew this aeromusical and F3P schedules, it made the hair stand on the back of you neck stand seeing this boy fly in reality.
