DLG / Handlauch gliding

<< < (3/8) > >>

Richard Boyd:
Hi Keith and Joe,  I was using a park flyer receiver and have never had an issue. Last night I tested the full setup I had in the Blaster 2 , it seems that a badly connecting micro deans was the cause of loss of signal.
The lipo pack was an old pack from last year and it had been used quite alot. I am switching my gliders to 0.8mm gold connectors
I live and learn !

Hopefully Joe we are going to have the first get together of DLG flying !
I have a few simple tasks put together, this is all about fun and sharing our experiences with DLG gliding.
All I need is a plane

Great to hear Joe that your interest have been rejuvenated, what plane are you building ?

Richard

Richard,
Sloperacer. com or T9hobbysport had a DLG for about £140. Vac bagged foam, so probably not AS good as the blaster, but a cheaper alternative. Joe got his model from Hong Kong

joe:
Richard let me know if there is a DLG get together this year. I am aiming to come up for a least one glider meeting this year, be it slope or thermal.

I got a Topsky DLG. See the thread in forum here. You coming down to us at the weekend? If so I could bring it along for you to have a nose at.

Will put it together mid April. Unfortunately thats the next available building window

Richard Boyd:
Hi Joe, the top sky DLG is a cool Dlg !
You will have many hours of fun with her.
The DLG/ flat field get together date is set for April and Banbridge club will be the venue. Everyone is welcome for some fun flying and of course the mandatory chat about planes might out way the flying.
All we need it the weather !
Bill can sort out the big man for some thermals and great flying conditions lol

Richard

billscottni:
Hi Richard,
Will do my best on the weather, but the big man rarely listens to me

Can you post a list of the tasks, so we can practice a bit? Hopefully my knees and back will stand a little discus chucking!

What about the option of a mini bungee for those who have hand launch models, but not discus ones?  :?:  Might encourage a few others out
