ISR Glide-In - 22-23 May2010 ****IT'S A GO!****
joe:
Looks like summer is arriving in Ireland. Typical! Always does when I'm not there.
I know the wind forecast is light but, it has the making of a very nice weekend on the slope. A little dynamic and hopefully lots of thermals. Kick back, relax, enjoy the sun and a gentle breeze. This is summer soaring. Maybe you take a walk down the slope, maybe you speck out. Hone those piloting skills. Nice smooth delicate flying. Probably as rewarding as RC soaring gets. Forget that it is a slope event and call it a thermal meeting. Now you have the perfect weather!! Bring the DLG's, bring the floaters, bring the efficient machines.
Shame I'm missing this one. Flying, BBQ and a big red sunburned face on Sunday evening! :!: :!:
Enjoy.......ya lucky B*******
Happy Days:
I’ve just sent an email to the secretary of the MCFC to ask if we can use their flight ground this weekend for an afternoon of aerotow. (As you know I’ve got a little Cessna that can tow gliders up to about 2mtr.)
The matter is complicated slightly because one of the committee members, who lives very close to the flying ground, lost his father this week in a car crash. So in deference to his bereavement there might be ‘No Flying’ at the ground this weekend.
I’ll let you know the outcome.

Shame it's not going to work for you lads John. It is a long drive and I'd be thinking the same meself. On a selfish note, it may workout for me as I might get to fly with you lot later in the summer after all!

We don't need to wait for the next fly in.
If we get a good forecast we can get down anytime. :?:
Plus: Your all welcome in the North anytime.

Alright Fred, you and the guys have a good weekend on Mt. L. I'll skip this one and hopefully join you some other weekend.
