Well Guy's,
To keep the ball rolling regarding organizing some F3F I thought a wee post here would be appropriate. As far as i can make out there are a fair few  of the gliding community who are not using this site so to spread the word further Chis in Kerry is going to post something on RC GROUPS in the Regions thread just to get them involved. Dont know how many check that thread but hopefully this will help a little to get everybody on here as the official place for organizing/dates and debates. Hope you all had a good Bank Holiday and are well rested.

Hey Ed,

I have put up that thing together 2 years ago : http://race.gliderireland.net , Feel free to use it to promote the category over here...
I have setup that thing together after the CIAM rep asked me to have a look to organise races etc etc (like the Eurotour, Viking Race...) over here.

Agreed, but this is not possible unless we had a active race circuit here first !
Asked and asked, and only 1 or 2 were interrested at the time... No support at all   So that never moved forward. Lots of people want to do it, keep complaining that is not happening, but when you ask for help, and to actually do things, you never hear anybody again! (bad mood today  :P )

Hope it works this time !  :D  If you need anithing, let me know.

As for the regions forum on RCG, a bit of a waste of time in my opinion, as this is barely seen, but everything worth a try !

Eiretime:
Hey Fred,
Looks like you've put lots of work in into this already Fred. I had never seen http://race.gliderireland.net before, looks good. Real shame it hasn't worked in the past but hopefully we can get a few meets together for the Autumn or if people prefer something sooner. The trip to the North, could we use that as our first crack at a race intro/rules? How do the guy`s up there feel about that?  Sure they would well up for it  :D.
All just suggestions everybody so please step up and make some if your up for it.

Thanks

OK, looks like we have some interest. I've borrowed a set of timing gear, poles etc. All we need is a venue, (Slieve Gullion?) and enough bodies to compete and run the event, so that's a minimum of 5. There are at least 4 up here who'd fly, (myself, John P, Richard and Andy Wallace) & possibly more.

Why don't we try and look at a date in late Sept and see who's available? :?:

sounds good
give me plenty of notice so i can get the work sorted  :D
