Editing long video sequences

Happy Days:
Ho, Ho Ho, Yes these are some of the joys of modern day video making…Compatibility!  :!:

Now at this point I have to admit I’m not very knowledgeable on matters of such complexity. :?:

I would suggest that rather than run around buying up new editing suits, try downloading a video converter programme. I use one called “Prism Video Converter” It was free to download when I downloaded it and still should be so. If it isn’t, you might at least find you get a 28day “free trial”

Convert your MP4 to wmv and then put it into windows movie maker and ‘work away’

(Never had any of these problems in the days of physical film, I just used to cut the film and then splice it together again…….although maintaining sound synchronization was always a problem. Oh, and having the splice unsticking when in the projector was always a potential problem as well. I used to hear the audience jeering as I hastily removed the film, re-spliced it and then re-laced the projector! Happy Days?…………….good riddance I say!)

Let me know how you get on Richard

Happy Days:
Here we are, just for you Richard :D ……………….Google: Any Video Converter.com (go to the main site, don't choose the 'download' option) On the main page you'll see the free download option,("65,000,000 happy users" it says) click on that. Then install and convert your Mpeg4 to wmv.

Cost……zilch

I shall be looking forward to seeing this masterpiece!  (Don’t disappoint me)

Hi guys

Richard if you have a problem with the video, I think we have software in the office to sort the video format out! Hi Keith, all I want to know, is when is the 2nd Season of 'Sam' coming out, or better still, 'SAM the MOVIE' coming to a screen near you?

Happy Days:
Hmmm, :?: ………….I’ll have to be careful which Vimeo account I upload to in future.
Funnily enough ‘Sam’ is a classic case of the camera always lying.   Nothing, absolutely Nothing of what you see in that video happened in the sequence in which you watched it.

For instance, the sequence of the dogs running between the rooms in the house from right to left was shot hours after I got them to run the opposite way.
Also the little black dog wouldn’t hold the ball in his mouth, (when he was running from right to left   ) so I edited the shot down so you can’t actually see the front of his head.  The viewer just thinks the ball is in his mouth when he’s running between the rooms from right to left inside the house.

I spend hours playing with footage. Well………..when you get to my age, it helps to pass the time!

All this is far away from flying though, isn’t it.

K.
