787 Dreamliner PSS
JohnPearson:
Hi all!
Well not to cold this weekend, and with no wind here in the north, I got back to some building on the 787. I finish the wings with solar film and glass tape and used trim line for the panel lines. I strenghten the wings slightly with ply spars in the middle, and strips of carbon rod along the leading edge.
Wings ready for the engines to be fitted.
Hopefully I will the model ready for the PSS at Big L :?:
Happy Days:
As always John, a lovely looking model coming along there. (I don’t know how you do it :?: )
Looking forward to seeing it, (and you) down here at the PSS meeting. March, isn’t it?
Sorry to hear you guys up north have no flying winds. Here in Wexford we’ve had constant ’Serious’ winds of 80 - 100Km/h all weekend :D , and it’s still blowing a gale this Monday morning. Only problem has been that Big L. has disappeared under a permanent blanket of cloud. I’ve spent the weekend in a state of tears and grief….All that lovely lift, and I haven’t been able to use it.  Oh,…..life is so cruel!

John & I had planned to fly this weekend, but here in the North Saturday was very wet and Sunday the winds were very light & SSW, the one direction we're struggling for a hill!.
Like John I spent the afternoon in the garage and did a little more on the foamcutter.
As I said in another thread, really struggling for enthusiasm at the moment due to lack of flying and other problems. Still planning to come down in March though :D
Happy Days:
Yeah, commiserations Bill, you’ve got no wind, and can’t fly, we’ve got masses of wind ( ), …..and can’t fly.
They do say, “Life’s a bitch,……………….And then you marry one!

Oh so TRUE. :x
Some people seem to get it right though. A few of the wives up here actively encourage their husbands flying!
