My Radian Glider
(1/1)
skyhawk newbie:
Happy New Year to Every one...
Here's a few Photo's of my Parkzone Radian 2 metre wing span..
I've painted the wings and used some Hi-Vis SolarFilm to
make it easyer to see when way up high,
Araldited some Carbon Tow to the Fuse ( Less tail flex )
Earth Magnets fitted to the tail which hold the elavator in place
( saves useing tape) allso fitted earth magnets to the wing as a extra precaution as it's only a push click'n'fit on to a carbon fiber spar...
All Up Flying Weight is only 26.8 Oz.....
Finaly got to maiden my Parkzone Radian on NewYears Day...
When I say Maiden I mean I was able to fly for more then 20 minutes..
The Day was lovely , very little wind if any (1 to 3 knots only)
BIG field on a slight slope with nobody around, took off and the Radian just kept climbing up and up ( Glad I'd painted the wings ,white is not a good colour to spot way up high ) shut the motor off and I was able to just glide around with very little input ,the Radian just flys its self........
All I'd been doing since I got my Radian (in November 2010) was take off climb to about 50 feet turn around and come back in for landing
as I wanted to learn the art of landing it in one piece,
I'd all ready got the art of crash landing down to a T with my SkyHawk , which I can now land in one piece as well....Life is Good

Happy Days:
Sean,
you can keep a plane in the air for more than 20 minutes!!! And land it in one piece!!!!
I’d say you must be a fully fledged pilot by now. :D Well done
Carry on practicing and no doubt you’ll be able to fly in rougher winds before too long.
Keep up the good work. (You’ll be flying aerobatics in gale force winds with 4 meter span models soon.) :P
