Happy Days:
Well done my friend. BTW.....what is the benefit of those forward swept wings?

Fred:
Visibility down for the back seat :)

gerryb:
and excellent stability in a training aircraft.  why aren't all trainers built like this?  i don't know for sure but  maybe it's the construction. to give you an idea of what's involved in building a wing like this, stand with your arms outstretched with your palms turned down, now raise your arms for dihedral, bring them forward for the sweep and now twist your palms so that your little fingers are above your thumbs.  great fun, and the cause of many sleepless nights trying to figure it all out.  well worth it in the end though when you see it flying

andrew wallace:
I was really worried about hand launching it on my own after a couple of scary moments with the Flair K8 stalling with me my heart was thumping. Once I had it above my head and the wind got under the wings I knew it would go. At one point the wind died away and I took a deep breath thinking I'm going to have to walk but no the 13 was happy floating about
Gerry believe it or not I was thinking about you when it was flying, seems like a life time ago we were all sitting round the table in the Moss House good times  :)
Keith I haven't a clue about the wings but I love the look of them when it's in the air  :)
I just pray now for more Westerly winds so I can get it back in the air
Now to get the skylark finished  :D

andrew wallace:
Lol I took the pictures with my phone lol suppose this is one advantage of flying mode 2
Held the phone in my left hand and tried to fly the model low and slow until I could see it on the phone screen then pressed the screen with my finger  :) :) :)
