Flying at Lacken, Co. Wicklow

Fred:
Hey Fergal,

Sorry to hear that!  :!:

I have a Revo9 if you want to borrow it!
This is my backup radio (I hate it, sorry!  :P ), so happy to give it to you the time your radio got fixed!

As for the MPX support, for my Revo, You can send a mail to Mpx Germany explaining the issue. They will give you a ticket number. Send them the radio, and they will inspect it when they receive it with a quote. If you accept the quote, they fix it, do all the normal maintenance (backup battery change, software upgrade if needed etc etc) and send it back to you.
Take roughly a week or so. Great service from them

Fergal Gordon:
Hi Fred,

Thanks for the kind offer, however, I am going to be tied up for the next couple of weeks and I would not expect to do much flying even if I had a Tx.

I have already followed up on Bill's advice and sent the Tx to Mike Ridely of Model Radio Workshop.  I am also going to take this opportunity to upgrade to 2.4 GHz.  I once had glitching problems when I was flying at Bray Head (see posting "Radio interference at Bray Head (35 MHz)").  It only happened once, however, the 2.4 GHz should give an added degree of security.

Anyway, thanks again.

Best regards,

Fergal

Fergal Gordon:
Hi Everyone,

I am back in action now that I have got my Tx back from the Model Radio Workshop.  Mike Ridley provides a good service.

I am hoping to get out on the slopes on Monday if the rain holds off.  It will have to be Glencree, given the easterly 35 km/h wind.  Let me know if any of you are interested.

Best regards,

Fergal

Fergal Gordon:
Hi Everyone,

Pawel and myself are planning to go to Lacken tomorrow.  Meeting time still to be set.  Anyone interested.

Also, I got my 2.4 GHz upgrade kit this week and I am looking forward to trying it out for the first time tomorrow.

Looking forward to see some of you at Lacken.

Best regards,

Fergal.

Fergal Gordon:
Hi everyone,

I am planning to go flying at Lacken tomorrow (Tuesday 14 July) and plan to be there between 18:00 and 18:30.  The forecast is 20 km/h S and fine.  It looks as if we will be flying down the slope from the road, no walking.  What more could you ask for.  Hope to see some of you there.

Fergal
