Next Mt Leinster now less than two weeks away, who's planning on attending?
-
I thought you'd never ask!
I hope to be there - for whichever day has the best forecast..........

I hope to attend on one of the days. This weekend looks good too - 2.15pm Saturday at Kilkakee in the Dublin Mountains if anyone is around.

I was flying off the west slope today. :D Great winds, loads of lift but a tad on the chilly side. Autumn's coming lads.
I'll be around on one of the days next weekend, probably Sunday. ;)

I intend to be there... The Skylark needs a maiden!
-
Hi could Big Keith give me a shout we are having problems finding suitable digs. There is a community lodge or something near the slope but I cannot find details anywhere.
Cheers

Sunday is looking nice with gusts to 25Mph onto the west slope. Just my cup of tea :)

Sunday does look great Keith, not so sure about Sat but the craic will be good regardless
-
i agree bill. see you there
-
Saturday looks... Interesting?
-
Yeah,.....with predicted gusts of 50mph if you add in the "compression" effect at the top of the slope you're probably looking at 70+ mph gusts. Don't have a model that will fly in those, nor the flying ability even if I did! :( But no doubt some brave souls will have a go. ;)

I'm packing the car at the minute, but not intending to "rush" in the morning
-
Depending on where you look, the forecast is different...
Either way, I think the Skylark will have to wait for it's first flight. I don't fancy bringing home a bag of bits! :(
-
I won't be coming so I hope everyone has a good time.
-
Should be there bout 2pm
-
Anyone gonna be on the mountain today? :(
-
Saw John Fireball setting up his middle phase at the western slope when I was heading home. Plenty of lift, so I took my P6 out. Vertical takeoff. It flew like a homesick angel. Plenty of lift but very bumpy. 30 minutes later all of my tricks flown, plus a few I didn't know I could do, and hadn't planned on doing either. Got my fix and model still in 1 piece. A successful dsys flying so.

Yea Chris,
That was the best flying of the day. Lift was much better than on the hilltop, only the low sun made it difficult. Should have gone there earlier.
-
Any pictures lads? Did you get much flying done?
-
Ok, it was that long ago!
Photos are on my camera still! I get them and write a report :)
