Hi
I have been working on this glider since Autum last year. Here are a few pitures of it I took about a month ago. I have made some more progress on it since. I'll post some more photo of it in a few days. Hope the photos come out. This is my first time posting photo's.

Is that Crown Exterier or Interier Paint. I didn't think that paint would be suitable for models. Does it stick well to the covering film? Do you varnish the model after you paint it?
By the way, if I forget later on, have a good time guys at Retroplane.

Slope Soaring / This Weekend

The only vintage gliders I know of that fly at the Dublin gliding Club are Ka8b, Ka6CR, ASK13, SF27, Zugvogal IIIb. There may be a few more. I'm not sure wheather you would call some of them vintage though. At what point does a glider become vintage.

By the way there was another change of plans on Sunday. I got to fly after all. But not from the slope, from the flat. A friend of mine rang me up and asked if I wanted to fly near by my home. It was the first time I flew from a bungee. It was great :D . I may be hooked.
Looking at those pictures of the Ventus 2c its looks like you had a good time at Mt Lensiter as well  :D .

As I mention in the first post, plans have a habit of changing in this family, and guess what they have   . I'm going to have to learn to drive and get my own car. Its the only way if I want to fly any time I want. Going to the Dublin Gliding Club instead to take some snaps of real gliders, it's only 5 minuts away from me. Hope to make to Kilakee some time this summer.

Looks sweet Joe. I always liked the U2 too. Might build one myself one day. Although I prefer the black paint scheme (I think its a militry scheme, right?).

Scale / Pilatus B4 from Rodel
« on: April 18, 2006, 13:11:55 PM »
Hi Fred. It had it's first flight on Sunday morning. It wasn't very successfull. It was barely controlable. It still needs some more nose weight. Also it kept wanting to turn to the left, it didn't want to fly straight. I'm not sure if this was because one of the wings is twisted compared to the other, or one wing is heavier than the other. I'll have to check. But luckly I was able to land it with only minor damage, which will be easy to repair.
I know this has nothing to do with the Pilatus, but I also flew my foam flying wing on the same day. I went in to a dive to get speed to try a manouver and it riped in two in mid air   . It was actualy quite funny   .
Ah well now I have no gliders to fly for a few days. You live and learn.
