I'll be there
-
Due to the church near the flying site flying powered models is only permitted after 1.30pm so i going to ask if we can use the site on the Saturday as well
-
Would you have a Google map location?
Just to check the distance. Might be a long drive for an afternoon only :(
-
My thoughts to Fred
When I was asked to run the event there was no mention of the restriction
-
Fred the flying site is on the Bush Road, Dervock, Ballymoney BT53 8PB
Using my phone's set nav it's 247km from Dublin and if you were getting a good run at it it will take you 3 hours 56mins
-
Thanks Andrew :)
56 minutes, yeah, right ;D
Shame about these restrictions :'( That does not make it appealing, and I really want to go if possible.
Anyway, Google map is 3.5 hours from my door, I'm afraid that for just an afternoon (well, a couple of hours, have to go back home also!) it's not going to do it for me :(
What about a club in Armagh, Belfast etc? Not much going on Up North this year as far as I can tell :(
-
Fred I know how you feel
I will see how it goes this year and will try and make a weekend of it next year or use a different venue
-
Andrew,
tis a bit of a drive all right, even for Fred. No chance of me making it for a day either. Sorry.
Best of luck with the day though.
-
I'm gutted about the restriction
If there was a club near Belfast you would be restricted height wise because of the airport
This was a spur of the moment event and we'll see how things go but will look into in more detail for next year
-
This Sunday we're going ahead with the aerotow day
Because of the restriction Nimsa is going to run a round of e-soaring which will start at 11am
We then intend to tow the rest of the afternoon, if all goes well we could have up 7 pilots flying :)
Fingers crossed for the weather :) :) :)
