Hi lads can you log on to this site and fill out a submission form www.saveourheartland.com it's to object to eirgrid running 400kv power lines across mt Leinster . It's going to restrict our flying to certain areas or depending on the route it could stop it all together . I know the ihpa are canvassing on their site too as they will have no landing zone they are worried that one of the planned routes is going across the west slope . So notify as many people as you can and ask them to object . the more signatures the better

Ok, I'm back.. Only to find this!

For the ones who don't want to use their email address for whatever reason, I can create a GliderIreland one... Just let me know.
On a side note, I don't think this will go ahead for various reasons, but it is worrying that they are thinking about it!
I check if we can voice this on a larger scale...

There is meetings going on around the south east at the moment .there is three routes being proposed and big L is one of them so lets hope it doesnt go ahead :x

Done mine Keith. Don't know how much attention they'll pay to it with an NI address though.
Be just my luck to get fit enough to come down to Mt Leinster again only to find it unflyable with bloody great pylons! :!: :!:
