Hi all,

Looks like a great weekend. Sorry i missed it. I have created a monster here with work. I knew making the buns so nice was a bad idea. Also the stork will be making an approach on runway 1 very soon indeed, So my hands are well and truely full. I keep digging that hole deeper and deeper  8-[

Fingers crossed for next time...

Maybe the indoor in cork if its on this year.. was a great laugh last time.

Keep the faith you crazy guys.

Events / Great day.

Hi all,

That was a great day! Thanks to all who travelled to attend. The gliding was non stop all day long.

Now I need to source a glider that will thermal on a gnats fart as my so-called floater aint up to the job on days like last saturday.

Once again ralph arrived with part of a lovely model just to tease us all....;) Nice swift there ralph.. pity you left the feckin wing joiner in cork!! The lift changed from thermal to slope in the afternoon and you could have flown it. We could have all had a right good drool at it. lol.

The bunzzzz were well recieved. However a couple of issues arose. Firstly the supplier of said bunzzz did not expect such a large and ravenous herd of wild mountainy men. They did not last gliding time on the back side of a thermal.
Secondly a roumer spread across the slope faster than a swift with no joiner bar that some of the afore mentioned wild mountainy men had more than one bun...     !!!

I will say nothin.....

Great craic lads. role on the next one.

Hey all,

Just a quick post to see how y'all are. Sorry I kinda went awol from forum for a while. Gliding away all the time on tounntine tho. The weather has been fantastic... forgotten what the rain is like now. We are out sloping every wednesday night, open invitiation to any of you that may find yourselves in the mid wesht region of a wed night. Just call me or Jer Buckley to hook up....There will be bunzzz. :))
By the way I heared the cork boys were mad for bunz at the CMAC glide in but unfortunatlely i could not make it down. Sorry Ralph ;) maybe if i get over to Mt L this weekend I can get you a fix.
Fred had gnawed all his finger off due to bun deprivation... a terrible affliction to be sure :)

Cheers lads!

Cheers Richard, thanks for the moral support.

As for you Kieth, there might be something nasty in your bun the next time we meet on the slope...

Fred no pics from me... sorry dude. Spent the whole time changing underpants...

WOW!!  :D

That was great fun. Thanks to Ralph and the lads for a great day out. Bloody hell this indoor lark is nerve racking. I spent all day trying to muster up the courage just to do a roll and a loop.... mental stuff altogether. Haven't felt my knees knocking while flying for ten years. What a blast.

Aidan thanks for the helpfull advise and the nice chunk missing from my left aileron..... less said about that the better, but the next time i will be after you.

Richard, thanks for the help before my first flight. It was great to watch you guys fly. Amazing stuff, especially now that I know just how hard it is to fly indoors.

untill next time

Brian,

I have a 2 cell 450mAh Lipo that I plan using aswell. I like high powered high rates flying outdoors. Hope I get on ok indoors too.

Baker

A Pain to build is right. I did not get it dead straight although it is pretty close. There is messy glue stains everywhere. It took me a while to get used to working with Depron and foam safe CA. I really need accelerator to do a half decend job.
Will do better the next time. This one will do for my first time out. If I smash it I wont be too upset.. :D
