Anyone fancy it? Of course it depends on the weather!
A northerly wind would be perfect.Mt Leinster takes west around(north-west) to north/slightly north-east.
The north slope is the better all round slope. It's more fun to fly(a nice steep slope face) and easier to land(soft ferns behind the slope out of the lift zone)
If the wind is right.i recommend checkin it out.you won't regret it!
If the wind isn't looking great down here i might head for killakee
-
Count me in !! :D (if the weather is right of course !)

By the way...
I can do a lift from Dublin for those without a car / transportation...
1 seat, and space for gliders...

I'm not sure if I will be avalable or not :( . I have to go to Mullingar on Saterday for an appointment, I can't get out of it. I might be available on Sunday and if you guys are not going on Sunday I might go anyway just to see what I'm missing.
-
Hello guys,
you can also count on me. :P
fred i need a lift cause still no car.
-
Lets make it Sunday shall we? it's usually better for people.Hopefully it means Alan can come along too!
The more the merrier.Four people flying would be a new record for Mt Leinster :D
Weather looks ok at the moment.Fingers crossed!

Ok so, weather lookin' good for sunday at the moment! 20km north-northwesterly easing off in the evening.A fairly early start would be a good idea.Be on the slope for noon maybe? about 11:30 at ferns OK for you Fred?.Alan if you head for Bunclody and call me just before you get there and i'll give you directions(hopefully you can get a lift).I'll PM you my number.
Always hard to tell how good the slope is flying till ya get there and have a look.More northerly wind would be better. We will be able to fly as it is no problem.Just want ya all to have a good day.Looking forward to it! :D :D
I'm out for the day and won't be on here till tomorrow.later!
-
Unfortunalty I wont be able to go :( . I have things to do on Sunday also :( :( . But I defenatly want to fly Mt Lenister some time. Hopefully in the mext month or two. It would be cool if we could fly of the top of Mt Lenister, where the mast is.

Hey Joe, Ok for me...11.30 at Ferns.

Hey lads,
What a beautiful day that was ! :D Really happy, flying conditions were absolutely fabulous. Hours of flying !
So, for a first ISR meeting, we can already say that was a real success !
4 pilots, 11 models on the slope (more in the cars ! ). Next time, hopefully, we will be more, but for a start, that was great !
Those who were not here missed a great day of fun / flying ! :P

Excellent day!.Just what the doctor ordered :D
5 pilots if you count Dermot who had his first glider flight.
A good selection of models too.vintage scale, modern scale, sports, electric, combat! the only thing missing is PSS(i'm not counting the F15).That will change for next time.My Spit is in hospital and the U2r is not ready yet and maybe a B25(Fred?).They'll be there next time :D
Thanks to all for coming out.Was very nice to have ya all on my turf!!
