Hi Enda,
Your K18 looks very nice, I have one myself, I built from plans.
A friend of mine is interested in yours , but could you post some more photos to get a better idea of what it’s like. Also, some idea of how much you want for it.

Snakes cross over inside fuse to keep runs as straight as possible, the right hand servo operates the left hand V tail. GB

Hi Bill,
I used Sullivan blue/yellow snakes in my 1/4 sc model and 'servo in tailplane' in my 1/3 sc model and they both work equally well as far as I'm concerned.
I have the snakes well supported along their length, so there's no slop or play to speak of.
I would suggest the red/yellow snakes are too flexible, while the black/yellow ones are too stiff for a fairly small model.
I can put up some photo in the next day or two if it would help.
 regards,
GerryB

Slope Soaring / Sunday on Mt Leinster

Some photos from last Sunday on Mt Leinster.  A great day, lots of flying, one or two showers but nothing major. Good fun and plenty of banter as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone again next year. GB

Hi all,
A most enjoyable day’s gliding on Tountinna on Saturday. Approximately 15 flyers took part and we had models in the air almost all day. A good breeze meant there was always plenty of lift, though landing was sometimes ‘challenging ‘ to say the least! Occasional showers failed to dampen our spirits and there was plenty of friendly chat and banter in between flights. Thanks to everyone who took part, especially Andreas, Ralph, Pete and Chris who travelled long distances to be with us. Thanks also to MACI who funded the event.

Don’t forget, Summer Gliding continues every Wednesday evening on Tountinna for the summer months and anyone in the area is welcome to come and join us.

Thanks to Denis for these photos, hopefully I’ll get some more in the next few days.......
