Hi all.

I am looking forward to getting out and about again very soon this year.
I really enjoy flying my PuRES V2.
I have just finished  building a second fuse for E-power.
These models are a very nice build and I look forward to the day we can all get together for some PuRES fun.

Chat soon.

Misceleanous / Re Glider bags.
« on: June 10, 2015, 23:18:11 PM »
Hi Fred.
I was emailing a guy in the USA about a carry bag for my Alpina 4m (WWW.AceWingCarrier.Com). He makes them to order. He wants to charge me $ 280.00 for a bag to fit the Alpine into. Now I paid €17 + P&P for the large Turnigy Glider Bag. I think I can live with that. By the way Fred. I am looking for 2 x flat steel bars 1m x 15mm x 2mm + brass box's. Would you know where I can get my hands on some. Glider Distribution wants to charge me st£28 + st£20 P&P to Nth Ireland. Then parcel Motel to Dublin. No way Habibi. Adrian.

Hi Lads.
I have bought a couple of Turnigy Glider Bags from www.hobbyking.co.uk they are a good quality item. Recommended for the not so large models. They come in two sizes. The large one will hold up to a 4m Glider. I have stored my Rodelmodell DG100 @ 2.15m in the small bag. Check them out.

Adrian.  :?:

PS: By the way. It is the small bag in the YouTube clip and looking at the wings I would say the Glider is about 3m in size.

Hi Fred.
Enjoyed the clip of your Alpina. Do you still have it ?. http://www.gliderireland.net/images/videos/alpina.wmv
You say it's a 4001. Does this mean that they changed the wing size over time ?.

Take a look at the photo in the attachment. This is the lid off the box mine came in.

Talk soon Fred.

Thanks Keith.
I was hoping to go to Mt L today but family matter must take first place ( My Mother broke her hip & she is in St. James's H. 86yrs old ).

I will carry on with finishing off the model. I was talking with a chap called Keith at the last PSS fly-in at Mt. L. was it yourself ?. I think he lives near Mt. L. if it is you. I might give you a call when it is time for the big off.

Talk soon.

Slope Soaring / Photos of Fuzz.

Gerry. Just remembered your servo Q.

The photos are not my model. I came across these photos on the net & I thought they where a good idea and was wondering if anyone new where I could get this type of brace.

The servo inside the fuzz in a slide movement servo. I'd say it is for the Ailerons.

Thanks Gerry.
They do fit tightly and having no engine vibration they will more that likely stay in place. I would just hate to loose one in flight.

Yes we ( My Family ) joined MACI in the 60's. My Father ( RIP ) was EI 341- My uncle is EI 342 - A 2nd uncle ( RIP ) was EI 343 - A 3rd uncle ( RIP ) was EI 344 - My cousin was EI 345 and I am EI 346 or IRL now a days. I can never remember our house or my life without some sort of Model aircraft in it. I am hoping that one of my 6 grandchildren keeps the family tradition going.

Thanks again Gerry.

Talk soon.

PS. These bits are for keeping the fuzz from crumbling if you have a hard landing or sudden stop, when the wings continue to move forward after the fuzz stops moving. They fit into the two holes inside the walls of the fuzz at the front of the wings. See photo.

It's late so good morning Gerry.
