Looks like another epic weekend on Mt L.

I get the distinct impression that these glide in weekends on Mt L are getting a little raunchier.

And then the wheel of fortune turns....

Just got a call from a supplier who informed me that they have been double billing me for 12 months.... 8 grand rebate coming back this week.

Kinda just got over the loss of my lovely lancair... ;)

I am not flyin too much these days and the fuppin gremlins are all over my workshop.

Got out to shannon yesterday for a rare flight and i took out my Lancair and my twin engine Harmony.

Noticed the lancair had a broken spat...took it off.
Lancair first flight something was buzzing... landed...??? nothing loose???
Next flight spinner shatters in flight and falls into the trees....oh well landed and no real harm done.
Switched to Harmony... battery dead.... bummer!!! battery in bin plane in van.
Back to Lancair for 3rd flight of the day... all going well then i get a tiny glimpse of yellow in the corner of my eye....SMASH!!!! mid air collision with shanes(club member) beautiful Flair kit Texan... AAARRGGHHH!!! 2 irreplaceable scale models wiped out in an instant. Bummer central.
I tell ya .... you take your eye off your models and your workshop for any length of time the them fuppin gremlins will be all over you.. lol ;)

Club Talk / A Sticky Topic

Kieth,

Ralph is right there... just bad use of the english language.

It's the setting time would be more important too. If its a tricky repair in a spot under high loads then use a slow set epoxy for a stonger bond and will let you work slowly under less pressure.
It's the accelerator(hardnener) that sets the speed of set btw. You can use the epoxy resin from any type (5min 12min 30min set time) but its only the hardners speed that counts.

I am currently using a bottle of Tower Hobbies Hardener 5min with Araldite presision Resin works just fine and sets in 5 min.
