Sorry Ralph. I'm on duty here over the weekend and will not be able to get away. Looks like there might be some good conditions. Have fun.

Also had some great flying today at Kilakee but earlier in the afternoon. Very little wind but 25C and the air was thick and full of thermals. Rode some to great height. The PureRes was in its element!

Wind from the SW and on the slope at Kilakee yesterday for a change! First flight of the Rock'X from RS-aero - flew pretty well.

Turns out the cloud rolled back and although the wind remained very light and gradually went more easterly during the day, there was some pleasant flying with our F3RES models.  Small group - just four pilots - but very nice to see everyone.

Four different F3RES models here - a Slite V2, Andreas, Pures and X-Res! We really should fly them off the line sometime, but great models on the slope on a very light day like today.

Thanks Ralph for organising the club /MACI subscription again.  Much appreciated.

Not a great deal of flying at Kilakee for me so far this year - January was quite good.  Lots of gales in February and winds from east in March. Wind turned westerly today and managed to get out this morning for some good flying.

Can't make Mt Leinster next weekend as I'm working.

Rock'X also came from Zeller.  See https://zeller-modellbau.com/zeller-modellbau-flugmodelle/rock-x-kit-2020-mm-rs-aero/

It's more of a slope machine than F3RES - probably 2-300 g heavier than the Slite. Interesting construction - uses quite a bit of very thin ply sheeting on the wing and tailplane.

The Slite V2 - best kit I have seen yet.

This is a RS-aero Rock'X nearing completion.  In the more reasonable machines category! Fine models Fred.

Nice pictures of our evening at Kilakee Fred. I have some red transparent Oracover Lite if you need it to repair the Ava wingtip.

Looks like some good flying down in Cork over the weekend. Wind was from the west at Killakee on Saturday. First flight of my Hammer. Flies very much like the Mefisto but with more momentum. Sorry Fred - missed your post on Sunday until after the wind had swung easterly again.

Lightest of winds at Glencree yesterday - but perfect for F3Res off the slope!

Spot on Bill! Up at Glencree in the Easterlies.  The old Impala flew well again with a new lease of life.
