Hi All,
Thanks to DaveMc I now have a new Toy. A Pat Teakle Vega. I hope to have it flying after my K8 gets it maiden flight. Here are some photos.

Some of you may have seen this already. But check this out. It's a 1/2 scale Austria Elephant made by some Swiss guys. I think the full size Austria had a 30m wingspan. So that would give this Model a 15m wingspan. Big or what.

Will anyone be at Mt leinster this weekend. I might try and go and get some flying in if I have the time. Note sure which day I will go. Probably Saterday after lunch, looks like a good westerly then.

I know I have already posted this in miscellaneous but I though I would post it again in scale so more poeple might see it ( It was Joe's idea so its his fault     )
Around the same time you guys were having your Kerry flyin the Dublin Gliding Club were flying from Fermoyle Strand in Kerry (launching using an auto-tow). Here is a link to some videos taken on the day. Enjoy

Slope Soaring / Crystals

Hi All. I'm looking for a website that sells Hitec/Multiplex crystals and that can deliver to Ireland in a week or two. Looking for some crystals before the ISR Fly-In. Do any of you guys know of such a website.
I have already tried going to Green Hobby and Models but they very rarely have the crystals I need and when they do they only have one or two of them.

Hi. I thought I'd show a few pics of my Discus HLG. Its not working properly at the moment. I am having reception problems, maybe caused by a faulty servo. I'll have to work on it a bit more.

Slope Sites in Ireland / Winds from The East

Looks like the wind is going to come from the east again this weekend  :roll: . We are going to have to find a good east slope some day Fred. I guess I will do some flat field soaring then. At least that is not dependent on wind direction.

Scale / DGC Ka8b

I hope to start my Ka8b in the next week or 2. I ordered the wood yesterday which will take a week or 2 to arrive. Hope to model one of the Ka8b's at the Dublin Gliding Club (DGC). Here's one of the colour schemes to whet your appetite.

I like the new website. I persume it is still under construction because there is a lot of blahh blahh blahh and gsgscg aabdbvc acbfuvb on the web site  . So I take it our club is offcial now.

Slope Soaring / RC Soaring DVD's

I have a number of DVD's at home about RC soaring. I get them from this website, www.radiocarbonart.com , its an american website. They are great for a rainy day, or when the wind is coming from the wrong direction, or both  :roll: . If you are considering getting one I would suggest get the DVD "Just Want To Fly" (the first one). It has a good selection of footage in it from Scale soaring in America, Scale soaring in the Swiss Alps, Dynamic Soaring ect. And because of the exchange rate between the Euro and the Doller we can get them cheaper to.
Just thought you would like to know.

I have been working on this glider since Autum last year. Here are a few pitures of it I took about a month ago. I have made some more progress on it since. I'll post some more photo of it in a few days. Hope the photos come out. This is my first time posting photo's.

Anyone going to fly at Kilakee this weekend. I'm going to try to make it there after lunch today or maybe tomorrow Sunday, hopefully. Plans have a bad habit of changing in this family  :roll: .
