Saturday 27th in Kilakee
« on: January 26, 2007, 08:21:31 AM »
Hi there,
The weather looks good for saturday, with sun and NW winds  :D
I will be at the slope early to enjoy the day the most I can !
Note that Sunday might be a very good day too.

Just bring some winter gears as if it's like last week end, it's going to be freezing cold up there !  :!:

I won't be going to the slope today unfortunatly  :( . May be some other time. But that means I have more time to work on my K8. I will try to post some pictures tonight.

Well guys, we can say that Saturday was the first club day at the slope !

2 first for the day..
First of all, our new "student", Anthony, came with Tony to show us his Daisy.. You never know with what you are going to end up with us ! And he ends up with his first flying lesson with our new club trainer (easy glider) after sorting out the Daisy :

Joe as the teacher, with a bit of trouble to keep the glider in the air !  :P  Finally, after may be 15 to 20 mins, Anthony flew the glider alone (with Joe close watch) without a problem !

Well done Anthony ! I think after a few lessons, the Daisy will be next !

Next first, was the first flight for my new ASW22. First flight, like a dream ! A video of the first launch can be seen on the gliderireland website. Thanks to Joe for the Launch, and Peter for the video.
Peter, came with a beautiful aerobatic glider.. Forgot the name, but that's a Chris Fross design. Beautifully built as usual !

Well, that was a good day !  :D

Fred & Joe,

I had a blast yesterday at the slope and hopefully I will have the Daisy ready for flying this weekend after I make the few adjustments. Thanks for helping with the setup of the radio etc. It was great to get flying with the 'student' glider, thanks Joe.
