What time of year is it?
« on: December 24, 2012, 17:52:34 PM »
You know, I’m sure something is supposed to happen around this time of year  …

……Hmmm,…Let me see now. Is it my birthday :?: ?,…No.
Is it my anniversary? :?:  No, (we held a two minute silence for that in September :P ).

It’s not May Day, it’s not Easter, Oh of course,…..It’s CHRISTMAS!

                 Happy Christmas everybody!!! :D

The way the weather's been this year, a flying boat's not a bad idea!!

MERRY XMAS everyone, (and sod those who think it should be Happy Holdiays, or Seasons Greetings. It's CHRISTMAS!)

Er,….where are it’s wings?   I presume it does fly, yes?
Nice to hear from you after all this time Denis! :D

John: Trust you to find that boat.    Ha! Strangely enough I used to cruse up and down the river Medway in Kent on a little cabin cruiser not unlike that one. 8)  (Brings back memories.)

Okay Guys, so what did Santa drop off  for you this year? I’m not allowed to open my pressies till this evening.

In an hour or so I hope to be off to the Big L for a little  christmas ‘lite relief’. :D  (One of the benefits of having ‘grown up’ kids.)

The weather was a bit overcast on the Big L today, :(  although there was sunshine in the distance.

As I was standing on the west ridge  flying my little ol’ P6 I did some mental calculations. :?:
I’ve had this present P6 for 4 years. During that time it’s spent 86.25 hours in the air. (according to my Tx.)  Assuming an average speed of what? Say 60km/h that’s 5174 Kilometres. That’s equivalent to flying from Ireland to Canada and nearly half way back again. Phew!

I took a close look at the plane. Her age is beginning to show. They say every battle leaves a scar and she and I have had a few battles in the past.  (Like most women, she needs ‘putting in her place’ from time to time, you know what I mean. )

This evening the other ‘She’ in my life, ( “She who must be Obeyed” ) and myself sat down to open our xmas pressies. What do you suppose I got! ( How did you guess?) A brand spanking new Phase 6 kit. Woop-peeeeee! :D

(Actually I’d bought this kit a couple of months ago and herself had ‘nicked’ it out of the model room thinking I wouldn’t notice. She wrapped it up so that I’d have something big to open on xmas day.
As if I wouldn’t notice it had been missing! Silly woman!! )

That’s what I got for crimble, along with the usual selection of  ‘smellies’ of course.
So, what have you guys got??

K.

Got it working Fred, but was never very happy with it. Bought a DX7 for flying electric stuff with, so thought I'd go that route.

Yeah, FRsky is fantastic stuff, but you always have to update the gears (software) to get everything working together!

Managed to update everything to the latest softwares etc etc, and have everything working great now, but I must say, that was a bit of a pain, but worth the time spent  :D
One of my 3030 is now fully converted, and will play with it properly before moving everything else.
