Honestly we have had little or no guidance from the MACI council. My reading of it is that we have not been informed that our insurance has not been withdrawn and as such we are still insured to carry on with our activities. It would be remiss of me not to remind people that we should observe the laws of the land and adhere to any practice that keeps us all safe these days. I am hoping to go ahead with the aerotow in Aug and hope to have one or two meets in Mount L before the summer is over.

Yeah, I agree with Ralph. If we wait for the MACI for any sorts of guidance, we are wasting our time (last, and only comms was from the 8th of May. Check for event cancellations...).

Follow the Government guidance, respect social distancing etc. I will post a club visual in a bit for our use as it looks like on the 8th, the 20Km travel extension will put a bunch of us at slope reach! At last!!  :D
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!

Alright, so Monday is looking good for travels!

20km from home or within the county you live in
No more than 15 persons meeting outdoors (keep social distancing etc of course)

Never been to Lacken I have to say!

Hi all,
And on the subject of Tountinna Glide-in, obviously this Saturday has been cancelled so we have decided to hold our gathering on Saturday, August 29th instead.
Hopefully we will be free to travel as much as we want by then.
Hope to see as many as possible on Tountinna on that date.
Regards to all, stay safe,
GB

Looking to change the date for the last meeting of the year

Mount L 12/13 Sept 2020, hopefully to get more daylight and a better chance off good weather.

Any objections? If not I will change the dates in the original post.

Covid pending of course.

Cheers

Ralph

I spoke to Gerry Buckley last night, he said he was planning on running with Sat. He also said he will post up regarding the event.

Peter, have you been there before?

I will be there on Sat.

See you there, Ralph

Hi all, sorry for late contact re Tountinna on Saturday. One of our club members-Dermot O’Flynn died suddenly last Sunday and I wasn’t sure if the event would go ahead.
Anyway, we’re all set to go, meeting about 10ish and fly all day.
Re covid 19, naturally we will observe what is now the norm as regards social distancing etc. I would like everyone attending to sign in when they arrive and leave a contact no in case we need to do some contact tracing at a later date. Everyone should bring their own food and drinks with them, we won’t be supplying anything on the day.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, at the moment the forecast looks good with N winds forecast.
If you haven’t been to T T before, you can contact me here and I’ll arrange details on how to get there.
Regards, Gerry Buckley
