If the weather’s good Fred you could make yourself look silly trying to fly indoors, and if you became too embarrassed you could go off to Big L.'s Slopes!......... Result!
Try not to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas....... all at the same time.

Hi , I am going !!!!!
Thanks Baker for the co-ordinates but I have not got a Garmin, I will rely on the old fashioned way of map and ask alone the way. :!:
I am unsure if anyone is coming along with me.
Ok this is the way I was thinking of going,
Dungannon, Armagh , Newry, Dublin, then M50 exit M9 then N9 to Carlow N80 take R746 to Kiltealey and if anyone is awake ask were the Duffry Rovers hall is.
If there is a better/quicker way please help me  :?:

Hi Richard

The GAA hall is in the townsland of Coolree. It’s known as the Duffry Rovers Hall. To get there from the village of Kiltealy………….

In Kiltealy there is a little post office at a "T" junction. Running along the side of the post office is a little road that does Down a hill.

Go down that down hill road until you come to a cross roads junction.

Go straight across the cross roads.

After about a mile you come to a “offset” cross roads junction. (The roads don’t meet exactly opposite each other.) You want to go “straight ahead” but to do so you have to first turn right for a few meters and then turn left……….(a kind of zig-zag.)

Continue along that road for about a mile and the Duffry Rovers GAA hall is on your left.

If you get lost we'll send out a search party

Hello Everyone,

Time as not been much and mu indoor model is as it was some months ago. :(
Still I'll like to see other smiling faces flying so I may try and show up.

Question: I check the coordinates in Google Maps and unfortunately the area doesn't have good resolution, I saw it points to with not too many houses around is that correct?

I know you guys are giving more precise locations but for me... I'd get lost very very easy. :)

Cheers,
Nando

Guys,

I might show up on Sunday !  :D
Working to finish the plane right now !
But I will mostly take videos and stuff, but might leave you when I crashed my plane to go to ML. I'll also bring a few gliders with me.

Anyway... Keith, Brian, we can go to Kiltealy via Ferns right ?
On a map, looks like a direct route to it, and not really far !

If so, let me know.
In this case, Richard, do you want to make a convoy with me to get there ?
We can meet somewhere on the M50 (I leave at 2 minutes from the Dundrum exit...) and guide you (Newish motorway, Ferns is less han 1 hour from my house!), I think that will be much quicker than leaving at exit 9 and heading to Carlow (Keith, you can confirm ?)

And I have a GPS ! (soemwhere   )

Hey Nando,

There is only one house and a large storage shed close to the GAA Hall/Sports Ground so it might be that you have it located on Google Maps.
The Hall in the townsland of Coolree, (County Wexford) on the border with the townsland of  Ballynaminnan. If you can get yourself to either of those townslands and ask someone for the Duffry Rovers Ground you should find it.

The best thing is to get yourself to the village of Kiltealy, and follow the directions I posted for Richard this morning.

Kiltealy is signposted from Bunclody. You must know Bunclody, you would have come through it on your way to Mt. Lienster.

Don’t know what else to tell you Nando.

There’s no heating in the hall so bring some warm cloths i.e. 2 pairs of trousers, 2 jumpers, a woolly hat, and some thick socks. (The socks go on your feet and the woolly hat is for your head,……….just in case you weren’t sure! )

Hey Fred,

Yes there is a more direct route from Ferns, through Balindaggan. It’s a twisty little route and quite easy to get lost at the junctions because some of the sign posts are pointing the wrong way. (Changing sign posts around seems to be a national pastime in Ireland  ) However, if you have a GPS system you should be okay.

BTW Fred, if you give me your “Big One” on Sunday, I’ll give you some money.
(I bet that’s make the other readers jealous!!)

Hey Keith,

Ok, I see ! From Ferns, I take the usual road to go to ML, pass drive the MCFC, and at the junction, where the pub is, I go straight there... Next stop, Kiltealy !   :?:  :?:
Ok, I'll check the GPS anyway. So far, so good, making a bit of progress on the Tensor ! Worse case scenario, I'll finish it in the hall !!  :D

I'll bring you the big one Sunday. Don't bring any money, no rush, and you need to have a look at it first anyway !  :D
