Building the elevator
First things first, trace the location of the tubes for the joiners.
Then cut with a cutter roughly, then I used a file to make it smooth and square.
Tubes, in 1 piece are then glued using Epoxy 5minutes. I use a piece of tape on top, that make the epoxy smooth and shinny once dry... No sanding required. Well, that's the plan!
Once dry, I cutted the elevator to its final shape following the plan. The tubes are then cutted in a middle with a dremel.Et voila, done!
Also time to cut the rot of the ribs (same, follow the plan, 3.5mm need to be removed). I left the carbone tube "out" after removing the EPP of about 2mm. This allow to be able to push the elavtors halves fully, but they move freely as they don't touch the fuselage side if you see what I mean...
Like everything else, 3M77 all over and re-inforced tape.
The control horn is glued with epoxy at the pivot point to give the maximum movement to the elevator.
I think I should have enough up and down... Can't go much more than that, as the elevator LE touch the pushrod...
And finally, pleased with the result for a very little amount of work.
