That was a great day ! 8 to 12 km/h wind, dead straight on the slope, and smooth lifts !
And snow !  :D

Sorry, no videos, but here a re a few photos of the day...

That was the maiden flight of the day...

Definitively a great day !  :P  :P
Road was ok up to the car park.. After that, 30cm of snow on the road and blocked !
Huge chaos up there, with people all over the place, and fe@?./"//+**ing drivers  :!:  :!:  :!:  blocking the way, almost from the panoramic view up to the carpark !  :!:  :!:

Other than that, fantastic day !  :D  :D

Thanks for the Photos Fred.
I took some video.
I even have a shot the CATCH.
Will have to learn how to put it on the board.

I have shared ridge soaring with sea gulls at Gormanston beach and a real live kestrel on Clogher head.
Today was the first time I flew with another model in the sky.
Today I  flew with 4 other models.

A really great day

and

Great to meet up eventually.

Hey

Any News

Things must of started by now.

If not

Hope all goes well and you both get some sleep.

Very good picies, nice to see you guys enjoyed yourselves. It may well be that I made the wrong choice, staying in Co Wexford. Although 12 K breeze would have been a bit light. (Thank's for the offer of the easyglide Fred.)

Seems there was a good selection of models, but no combat!  (Maybe that was also due to low wind speed)

Well done Cha for flying with other models in the air, it certainly make a difference doesn't it!  I think we all get spoilt flying in "clear skies" and then when we fly with others there is definitely a sense of awarness of the other planes. (Breaks the concentration a bit, doesn't it )

Right then,........until the next time!

Keith
Try not to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas....... all at the same time.

Hey Cha,

For the photos, that is really easy, the only thing to do, is to reduce the size of the photos to 600 pixels max. After that, you have to use the "download an image from your PC" button on top of the typing window, select your photo, and send !

Otherwise, you can send them to me, so as the videos if you want, and I'll put them all for you  :D
My mail : fred@gliderireland.net

Still no signs of the baby yet... Should be anytime, but looks like he don't really want to show up yet and wait for the good time ! Bloody recession !

We keep in touch anyway for the next meeting, weather permitting of course. And why not also a trip to Mt Leinster ?  :?:  :D

Lifts were everywhere and smooth, really smooth. Everything was flying (well, a bit of troubles with the wasabi, even if the flaps helped a bit, but that was too light for it to have good decent fun !)
Launched the Alpina without any risks, and the thing did not wanted to go down ! Really good lifts, even if the wind felt like absent...
Flew in the Pyrennees in this kind of conditions several times, and I think the snow smooth pretty much everything (I'm theorising here, but sound like a good guess  :?:  )

Had the wing in the car, haven't flown it that day, but was ready for some combat action !  :D

Looks like a nice day lads! Always like it when the snow is still left on the slope. Very romantic!
Itchin' for a bit of flying myself. Feels like months since I been out!
