This is in conjunction with NIMSA's first slope day of the winter and will be purely fly for FUN :D

A bad days flying is better than a good days work.

Hi Guys,

Sorry, a bit silent these days  :!:  :!:

That's next week end... :?  Might be too short of a notice for the wife (yeah, I know... Those bloody brownies points!)
I see what I can do ! Can you pin point the slope on a map / google earth ?
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!

Forecast for Sunday
« Reply #7 on: September 30, 2010, 21:25:04 PM »
Sundays forecast is currently 10mph at Moneymore, add at least 5mph up the hill. But, it's from the South which is NOT the best direction. The Southerly slope we have access to doesn't produce great lift.

If you're wanting to attend a NI slope event, unless the wind changes either East or West, this may not be the best event to come up for.

Hopefully, the wind will shift a little to one of the better slopes  :?:

Today's Event

Well only four of us turned out today. Forecast and previous engagements reducing the numbers dramatically.
Wind was SSE blowing around 12, but very variable. Not a bad day out and three hours very enjoyable flying.......................... apart from breaking the aerial on my 3030!! B*****r  :!:
